# Withdrawn request

The request was taken back. That is the whole meaning.

A nomination is a request asking FDA to consider an ingredient for compounding.

Withdrawn means the person or group making that request took it back.

## What the Selank entry says

FDA lists the request about a Selank ingredient among requests that were taken back.

The entry is about Selank used to make a medicine.

The same entry still carries FDA’s safety concern.

The agency does not give a date for when this request was withdrawn.

## What did not follow from that change

Taking back the request did not give Selank FDA approval or permission for compounding.

It also did not establish that the substance is safe.

If someone says taking back the request made Selank allowed, ask for the document that gives that permission.
