A plain-language guide / Questions to ask

# Questions to bring

Choose the ones that matter to your conversation.

You do not need to know every term before a care visit. A short list can help you keep your place.

## Begin with your concern

Write a sentence about what you want help with. Include the change you hope for and what you have already tried.

Then mark the questions you want to ask. There is room to ask a clinician to explain an answer again.

Mark the questions to bring

- [ ] What health problem are we looking at before discussing a treatment?
- [ ] What other tested treatments for anxiety have been considered?
- [ ] Which study supports this use, and what did it actually measure?
- [ ] What is the medicine’s name? Has FDA approved it for this use? Can it legally be supplied to me?
- [ ] Which rule allows this ingredient to be used in a made-to-order medicine? Can you show me that rule?
- [ ] What is still unknown about possible harm?
- [ ] How do my current medicines and circumstances affect this discussion?
- [ ] Where can I check your permission to treat me in my state?
- [ ] Which pharmacy would prepare and send any medicine?
- [ ] Do you need tests or an in-person examination to understand my problem?
- [ ] What is the total cost, including extra charges and cancellation terms?
- [ ] Who can answer questions after the visit, and how would follow-up work?

Clear choices

## Listen for a clear answer

Ask for a source when a claim is hard to judge. Ask which part applies to your own concern.

What other tested options for anxiety have been considered?

That can be the opening question, even if Selank was the reason you made the list.
