# Memory claims

Ask which kind of study sits behind the promise.

Memory and focus are often part of the hope around Selank.

The memory studies behind these claims were rat experiments.

Those tests do not establish better memory in people.

## Ask what change the study measured

An outcome is the change a study measures.

The human anxiety studies measured anxiety, rather than showing a memory benefit from Selank.

The add-on study reported fewer memory problems linked to another medicine; that is different from proving sharper memory.

## A clearer way to read a claim

First ask who took part. Then ask what the study measured. Finally ask whether the result matches the benefit being promised.

An improvement in rats does not show that people will remember better.
